| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Headline – CODY continues Indiana initiative with signing of the state's Department of Natural Resources Pottstown, PA; November 21, 2006 -- CODY Computer Services, Inc. announces a contract with the State of Indiana to provide CODY's enterprise level Data Management System to the enforcement division of Indiana's Department of Natural Resources. With its main office in the state office building in Indianapolis, IN, the law enforcement division of the Indiana State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is tasked with the critical mission of protecting the state's natural resources, including state waterways and infrastructure, as well as protecting and promoting the wise use of such resources. While the main office is in Indianapolis, the Law Enforcement Division is a highly mobile force, with each officer having his/her own mobile unit that is his/her virtual office. There are a few regional offices, but the majority of the Division's work is done through mobile units across a wireless network. The Division currently deploys 204 officers, but that number is due to increase in 2007. Due to the overwhelmingly mobile nature of their mission, the DNR Law Enforcement Division purchased CODY's enterprise level Records Management and Mobile Field Reporting system complete with instant messaging and secure wireless connectivity for all remote field offices and mobile units. The fully integrated system will allow officers throughout the state to securely access and interact with a centralized database through a real-time wired or wireless network link, all from a web-portal on their personal laptops in their mobile units. The DNR's over 200 Conservation Officers will be able to access the central DNR database to view/add/update records, and complete/submit their incident reports directly from their unit, without the need to go back to the station. Further, the system will include a real-time inquiry interface to the Indiana Data and Communications System (IDACS), and NCIC databases, as well as an interface to the Indiana Hunter Education Database. Perhaps most importantly, the mobile system, which will work at the district offices and in the more than 200 mobile units, features advanced network sensing technology that detects a loss in network connectivity and allows units in the field to continue working normally while disconnected, automatically posting all work done while disconnected to the server when the network signal is restored.
