| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Headline – Hartville, Ohio goes Digital with Police Records Hartville, Ohio; February 14, 2005 -- Hartville Mayor Beverly Green announced today that the Village of Hartville, Ohio has entered into a contract with an industry-leading law enforcement technology firm to provide a single-source integrated records management system for the Hartville Police Department. CODY Systems, of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, will provide the Hartville police with a digital computer-based records management system (RMS) that will, among other things, streamline operations, provide security for the department's critical data, and allow the department to generate customized analysis reports. Along with CODY's RMS system, Hartville has purchased additional components to tailor the system to its needs. These include an integrated digital Ohio accident report, and compliance with the Ohio Incident-based Reporting System. Mayor Green stated that the decision to upgrade the police department's records infrastructure with the system from CODY was due to CODY's position in the law enforcement technology market, along with the system's ease of use and focus on data security and flexibility. "We looked at a lot of systems from many of the industry leaders. In the end, our decision to go with CODY was an easy one. CODY's system was far and away the most intuitive and easy to use system we evaluated." Mayor Green went on to say that "During our search, it became clear that no other vendor could match CODY's focus on data-security or embedded analysis and reporting capabilities. With CODY's system, especially the CODY Report WizardTM piece, we can organize and report information to be more accountable to the citizens of Hartville."
